Abstract Submission

Please submit your abstract before February 18th, 2018.

SUBMIT YOUR ABSTRACT

The topics for WoCoVA 2018 are:

  • Prevention
  • Education
  • Innovation
  • World wide network
  • Guidelines and Consensus

We invite you to share your ideas and research outcomes in the scientific program. All information on abstract submisison can be found at the abstract submission website.

Important note

  • Abstracts must be submitted not later than 18 February 2018.
  • Authors of abstracts accepted for presentation MUST be registered delegates before 3 April 2018 and be responsible for all expenses in the production of their presentations, travel and accommodation during the Conference.
  • The scientific committee of the Congress reserves the right to accept or reject abstracts submitted. The committee’s decisions are final.
  • Notification of acceptance will be sent out by the beginning of March 2018.

Structure of Oral and Poster abstract

  • The abstract must not exceed 300 words.
  • The abstract should be typed in: Single spacing; Font size: 11; Style: Times New Roman.
  • Tables and graphs must be submitted separately with a maximum of two graphs (these will not be published)
  • Capitalization: please only use a capital letter at the beginning of the abstract title.
  • Make the abstracts as informative as possible.
  • Conclusions must be supported by data.

Organize the body of the abstract as follows:

Faxed and handwritten abstracts will NOT be accepted.

An acknowledgment will be sent to you on the receipt of the abstract. Please contact the secretariat if you have not received the acknowledgement letter 1 week after you submitted your abstract(s).

Editing of abstracts will be restricted to spelling and style only.
Author(s) name should be listed with surname first, eg Jones TS, Tan HC. Institution(s) and affiliation(s) should be indicated with superscript following the author(s) name. Affiliation(s) should include only the name of the institution, city and country.

Structure of Video abstract

WoCoVA is introducing a video session.
A short video should be prepared and uploaded through YouTube, Vimeo, etc.
A written content of the video including the link to the video has to be submitted in the abstract module.

Criteria:

  • Total length of max 4 minutes
  • Include title, name(s), author(s) and location in the video
  • Submit a written outline of the video in max. 100 words
  • One author of the video should be available for video discussion

Author(s) name should be listed with surname first, eg Jones TS, Tan HC. Institution(s) and affiliation(s) should be indicated with superscript following the author(s) name. Affiliation(s) should include only the name of the institution, city and country.

Guideline for ORAL presentations

15 minutes presentation.

Guideline for POSTER presentations

An author should be available for poster discussion. Further information will be sent to all poster presenters after acceptance of the abstract as poster

Guidelines for VIDEO presentations

One author of  the video should be available for video discussion.
